Should i tell a girll that i lied to her?

hi, i've only been talking to this girl i met for about 3 weeks now, i met her on the bus and see her every morning, although now i am trying to avoid her, but anyways our vibe is really good, she says everyone at work is wondering why she is smiling more now, i can tell that she likes me and i really like her, but when i first met her i lied to her about my age, i asked people what i shold do, a girl said i should tell her the truth, and i asked a guy and he says not to tell her, so i don't know what to do, i mean i really like her and i don't want to mess up what could be something potentially special down the road, but i don't want to **** up what we have now, a friendship that is blooming towards something more intimate, what should i do?

i told her that i was 29 when i'm actually 34 and she is 24

Yeah, 5 years is a big difference. You are actually 10 years older than her and not 5. If you really like her, be honest with her.

I know this is going to sound judgmental, and I honestly don't mean it to sound that way.... but why would you lie to her about your age in the first place? I just can't see any good reason to ever do that. I mean, even if you weren't expecting something to start up between you two, what benefit do you get from lying about your age? Especially by 5 years? Tell her the truth. The sooner the better.

Now, granted in my view 24 and 34 aren't THAT big a deal. But, still, that is 10 years. Some people may think that is a bit too much of an age difference. If she happens to be one of those some people, then you have been leading her along for nothing. At this point, yes, you should tell her the truth. You say you have really only known her 3 weeks, so that isn't all that long. So, hopefully it will be a short enough time that it won't be a make or break thing for her. But you will need to be prepared for the possibility that it does change her mind about you. I mean, if you would lie about something so trivial already, she may wonder what bigger things you may lie about. Above all, my recommendation would be not to tell her any more lies (or anybody for that matter). Either way, good luck. Hope things work out for you.

Definitely be honest. If this turns into something serious, she's going to find out either way. It was a really low thing to do btw. Come clean asap.
