Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will
Men could say the same thing about women too.
I love men, wouldn't change a thing about them.
OP, it's not that you don't like men. Men are not the problem. The problem is getting hurt by men.
So, ask yourself this: what can I do to make sure I don't get hurt by a man?
And if you don't know the answer, it's to always act within your comfort zone. Define the lines of friendship and more, and stick by them. Don't allow a guy to alter those lines for you because that's when you'll get into uncertain territory where you're not sure what will happen (and will ultimately get hurt if things don't go as you're hoping). As my therapist says, have self-control to act in your comfort zone and present it to the guy that if he wants intimacy with you and wants more, he needs to step up to the plate and build a relationship with you. That it can't all be on you because that's not fair.
This advice applies to men regarding women, as well. Boundaries, folks; you need them.
