This LF Premier Thing...

I'd like to be the first (because I know searock is going to start bitching as soon as she gets in) to make a formal complaint about LF Premier.

How can you reasonably charge for LF when you haven't even fixed the timestamp on the server?! I'm in GMT-6 and I still have to set the zone to GMT+10, and the time is still 20 minutes off.

Also, why are you using the registered trademark symbol for LF? You can't possibly register LF as a trademark; the most you could realistically get is copyright ©; but even then, what are you copyrighting? You already own the domain, and you live in Singapore.

I read what you get if you take the membership but I have never received 1 Pm on here since joining so an increase in PMs means **** all to me.
Anyone with access to the secret forum should already be a premier member on here.

Being premier member gives some advantages but they are not so important to me to pay 40$ every year. I mean I saved over 100$ in these years. Dont like these new adds but can live with them still. Agree forum time have to be fixed no matter what. Then again this premier is in developing stage so price is simply too high for little extras it gives right now

I suppose it's not a bad idea for Loveforum to start earning some money instead of simply providing this form of entertainment and service for free and Premium Membership could be a valid option, but in my opinion, members like Vashti, Indi, Wakeup, Smackie and others who have helped maintaining this forum alive during the years should be given free Premium Membership. Other regular users who have been for less time could get a special price and new users interested in PM could pay a fixed price :-)

I wouldn't pay $40/ year to give advice nor ask for advice/help. I have good health insurance. If I need help I'd rather go to a shrink or counsellor to get one.

I pretty much agree with KingZ and pcmaster. The forum is lazily administered, the ads are easily disposed of, and access to and "exclusive club" sub-forum isn't worth $40 a year. Hell, if I won't pay that for porn, why would I pay it for this site?
