    Understanding love letters / poems

This is a follow up to a thread I created last week, so if you you'd kindly check my post history and you'll find it as I'm unable to post links yet.

So today I dropped this most wonderful lady at the Airport after spending the most nicest week together, we've spoken about possible future options and are most defiantly going to stay in touch.. We've spoken about my love for her and each time she reacts with a big kiss but no return I love you also had some pretty amazing sex.
Today after leaving her at the airport I text her one last time telling her I'm so in love with her and how I've never loved anyone as much as I do her, she replies with a smiley face and then another message saying she's left me a note at my house, one side says how much of a lovely bloke I am and how she couldn't have gone travelling with more of a caring gentlemen, how she's going to miss me so much and that she loves me too, then on the other side of the letter she's written a poem, this girlfriend of mine is a writer and has a very beautiful but quirky mind.... So now I'm wondering if this means anything in relation to us or is it just one of her favourite pieces??... I'm not a writer and not all that interested in poems as no one has ever written me one but if the poem is in relation to our relationship where do I stand?

Thanks for listening and enjoy the poem.

    We, unaccustomed to courage
    exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
    and comes into our sight
    to liberate us into life.

    Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
    old memories of pleasure
    ancient histories of pain.
    Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
    from our souls.

We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love's light
    we dare be brave
    And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
    and will ever be.
    Yet it is only love
    which sets us free.

Hopefully you feel pleased with the conversations you had about your possible future together and you know more or less where you and her stand. This shouldn't necessarily be her deciding to move to England or you to the US right away, but that you're both equally interested in an exclusive relationship. My impression is that this is what you'd like with this girl and you should make your intentions clear. No vague romanticism would maintain alive a relationship that is going be overseas in its first stage. Keep up the romance of course, plan another visit sometime soon, maybe you going there this time, but realize that you'll need her to start involving herself more in order for you to be really happy and for this work. The next 2-3 months should give you a very clear idea if you two are really headed somewhere or not. Good luck.

Beautiful poem indeed. A love declaration imo, than needs to be followed with the right gestures and attitude now :-)

This should be in love poems section.
I think you should read into that poem because it is written about love in general. But not necessary about your case. However lady seems experienced and it looks like as long as you care she will care too.
