Sorry I can't quote you there is something f ucked up on this site tonight.

I meant I don't need flashy anything to have a man get my attention, I rather earn it not chase it. BTW I was being facetious because it seems men think women only want muscles and a big wallet, when in reality women want emotional stimulation.

    Great thread!

It's a tough one since many women want stability. What's your worst and best year? How long you been playing ft?

Don't buy the car! Can you pay off the condo ?

If I read 'professional poker player', my gut feeling would be that it's not a 'real' job. Yes, perhaps one could persuade me otherwise, but I'm not sure I'd give them the chance.

    Sorry.
Never regret anything that has happened in your life. It cannot be changed, forgotten or undone. So, take it as a lesson learned and move on.

Your thread reminds me of posting a question about my last relationship when my gut feeling started to tell me that something was wrong but had no proof yet, on a professional games of chance site. Apparently someone had posted a relationship question on their site some time before and since then they appeared as one of the first relationship sites on google lol. While everybody told me that I was on the wrong site, they did their best to give me an advice based on logic, games theories, probability laws, intuition and personal experience :-O

In other threads they spoke about being happily married and their spouses accepting what they did for a living, so I am wondering if asking your question on a casino forum or games of chance one wouldn't provide you with a more appropriate answer to your question since there are people that have been able to reach a happy compromise with their partners and work in the same field as you.

My personal opinion is that your profession tends to be associated with instability, addiction and misfortune by many people, but I suppose that it doesn't always have to be that way. Could you combine it with a more mundane profession or invest in some kind of business that could give you a more stable image? However I don't think that you should change who you are for a relationship, just keep on trying until you'll find the right person. It's possible. Good luck.

Yes. I do not consider this a "professional" career. It's too risky, and associated with seedy people who lack impulse control. Women want stability, and you cannot offer this. If/when you lose your money, you will have no marketable skills. Sorry.

That said, women are masters at overlooking red flags. I think "flashy" would work for you. Just don't expect to hook up with level-headed, mature women.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

I agree that online poker sounds like more of a hobby, no offense...and that's only because there's really no social interaction and it's a game-like environment. It's like if I sat at my computer playing The Sims all day and made money...it's still a game meant for fun.

Plus, if you try it in person, I think it would be more of a turn-on because it adds a little mystery to you. You're out in public doing something and have to maintain a level of composure to not give yourself away. But, perhaps, that's just the Ian Fleming lover in me...
