Well, you can start by giving us a little more of the story. Why do they hate you? Do you feel they have legit reasons, or are they just being over-protective? Have you done anything, whether intentionally or not, that may have caused them to have doubts about you?

Parents can sometimes be over-protective. I remember this one girl I liked back in my school days. Her parents got all bent out shape because I showed up ONE TIME to pick up their daughter with blood splattered all over my shirt. I told them I had been working with my uncle who is a butcher, but they insisted that the human hand prints on my shirt appeared to be clawing for dear life. God, parents can be so over-protective sometimes. But, on the plus side, they did make a nice center piece for my dining room table after I "convinced" them to stay out of my way. :-D
