I mean, there is a *chance* that the murderer didn't really kill his victim. People saw him holding the bloody knife over the victim. Twelve people heard him screaming obscenities and found his back bedroom full of photos of her with all kinds of lewd comments written on them. He claimed to hear voices and see ghosts.

But you are totally right. Just b/c the proof all says otherwise doesn't mean that the ghost he's been chatting it up with made him convince the local butcher to lend him his knife and the knife 'just slipped' while he was kneeling over her with her open blouse that she just happened to forget to button closed that evening. And he had a temporary case of tourettes.

Your 'logic' is the sort that allows criminals to escape justice b/c of a lack of 'reasonable doubt'.

For the love of life, will you young ones start to THINK for yourselves and take responsibility for your own rational thought processes? What the hell is wrong with you today? Too many of you can't think critically. Are you so overwhelmed by all the data out there you are baffled by the bullshit? Its the same old crap, snake charmers, fake remedies, conjurers... there's just more of it.

    Wake up already.

EDIT - I think your teachers are too easy on you. Time to start raising that bar again, its dropped way too low in the current education system.
indi is there actually something wrong with you? i'm not arguing that if there are witnesses to crime that it didn't happen?! what a silly point to make. i'm pointing out that it's ignorant to dismiss someone's experience just because it's difficult for other people to understand how it is possible. science has yet to explain many many things either paranormal or otherwise, but it doesn't mean these things are not happening. it's about having respect for other people's experience (very real and frightening for some). so darling get off your high horse and have some respect you old biddy

If you want to fight, bring it.

But don't bother with the transparent offerings you've produced thus far.

Your, and others' persuit after the fact, don't... which leads me to believe that you're in it for the sport... and in the sport, let me remind you, nothing is sacred.
That may be true for some. I think I have been respectfull in this thread, have expressed my experiences and opinions and have attempted to point out a few things in a more than reasonable way.

If you disagree with that, feel free to quote where, in this thread, I have done differently.

And no, pointing out logical fallacies in the logic applied is not disrespectfull.

    "reasonable"?

    "logical fallacies"?

    You're full of it, mate.

You talk out of the side of your mouth.

We all know that neither side can conclusively show the other that they are correct, yet you continue to pick at the scab long after it's been agreed to let it go. Gribble is no different.

Drop it, and move on. I know that I can't "prove" to you what happened to me, and you know that you can't "prove" to me that it didn't happen.

Thank you for the nice ad hominems. It so much shows how instead of tackling the argument in a reasonable and logical way, the person is being attacked.

Sorry bud. This is not a logical argument, this is a personal vendeta.

My bad, I asumed I was talking to someone who was above all that crap and wanted to have an adult, reasonable and civilized exchange of opinions and views about this.

    I guess I was wrong.

Don't try taking the high road now, carpetbagger. You had plenty of opportunities a couple pages back.

As for your "adult, reasonable and civilized exchange of opinions and views about this" comment, I suggest you read the title of this thread and the opening post, if you haven't bothered as yet.

And in the future, might I suggest that you don't give in to your very apparent craving to stir shit without first donning some PPE.

    You may go now.

You my friend, are in no position to tell me what I can and can not do.

I will go at my own leasure and not at your command.

Maybe have a very close look at who is using patronizing language here.

This said, have a great day. It's my decission, not yours.

Get down with your bad self, Indi.
I'm down with me, no prob Doc.

You disagree with me? I would have thought you'd be right in there with people being completely unable to think for themselves anymore.

This is not an indirect dig at your ghosts, btw. I believe you saw something. I dunno what you saw, is all. We are all done with that exchange, no?

Read my link, its a very good summary of what is wrong with people these days.

Yup, we're done. I'll have a read of it later. No guarantees if it doesn't culminate into a major snoozefest, but the intention is there to get through it.

Too many pages to read and not enough time... But I did read the original posts...

I did have an experience that was shared with my brother and four others that was unexplainable... involved something similar. And then my brother and I were host to such a "guest" for nearly 3 weeks afterward.

I'd go into details... but I'm sure most would think I was nuts. All I know is both trucks had claw marks in solid metal, and I still have a few scars on my arms... as does my brother, from the ordeal. And our friend Heather... is still in the psychiatric hospital undergoing treatment... almost 7 years later.

Read about the first 5 pages and not the rest, anyways I've had a couple unexplained experiences. I've never really identified any as paranormal for sure because i simply don't know. Has anyone ever experienced sleep paralysis? About a couple years ago I began experiencing what I 'thought' was sleep paralysis, I would feel pressure coming in from every direction weighing down on me. I could not speak or move only open my eyes which I was always too terrified to do. Eventually it would fade but I was awake the entire time. It would happen once in a while sometimes a couple nights in a row. I haven't experienced it full on in a while. I concluded it to be sleep paralysis and never really looked into it but I've had one experience with it that scared the shit out of me. It happened one time and I began hearing noises on the right side of my head and it was pretty loud but I couldn't make out what it was saying but it did not sound human. It felt like it was right next to my ear. But I don't know if i was just imagining it or whatever, hasn't happened since so i don't know.

Actually when I was a kid i often had a really weird overwhelming sense that none of this is real, this life, me, my senses; no sound, no feel, no sight, (I see black but I see in front of me too) no present, no future, the past never really happened coz it’s not real. It’s such a weird non feeling, like my body doesn’t exist. It lasted for about all of 10 seconds. Dunno if that constitutes paranormal or out of body stuff I’ve heard of. My stomach then turns and then I come out of it. I’m guessing it must have just been brought on by some sort of anxiety.

I had a visit over the course of about a week during my formulative years, in my nightly dreams of a gorgeous lady who announced to me that she was to be my intended.

I remember that the room we always were in, black... with one white sofa which we lounged on, and she was in black and white tones... gothic before I knew what gothic was.

She told me things of my future and then told me that on her last upcoming visit, that we wouldn't meet for some number of years and that I would virtually not remember anything except the meetings we had and the theme behind her heart felt warnings to me.

The theme was love and compassion and I felt it every second we were together, so much so, that I forgot my years and yearned to make love to her. But that wasn't her mission or reason for being with me at the time, and she caringly put that subject on the back burner for later.

    Very surreal.

I still wonder to this day if I'm going to see her again.

It's heavily influenced me all my life.

I did have a recurring dream throughout most of my teen years, and even until quite recently infact, that involved talking with a boy, who progressed to being a teenager, and then a young man (he aged as I did)... enjoyed the conversations with him very much... but then I would learn that he had died... that he was nothing more than a ghost... and then I'd wake up. Now that I think about it... I stopped having those dreams about the time I developed stronger feelings for my boyfriend. Actually, I haven't had any nightmares in the last few months... not even during the recent events in my life. So very odd.
