Found the redback I spray painted white last week, making a web in my bedside lampshade, obviously disoriented and on a revenge mission.

Put the vindictive little bugger in a mason jar and spray painted him black again, then let him go.

Got to give him credit though.. Two coats and he's still kicking.

He'd just crawl out of its neck.

Damn. I hate spiders... sneaky little buggers.

Huntsmen spiders and I are good mates. I try to keep some in the house to eat the whitetails and redbacks..Until they get too big for their britches and start sizing me up... then out the door they go. A one minute running start. If they come back.. then they get concrete boots.

how big are these spiders? (I'm already getting squirmy.)

Up to palm size, but generally about 2/3rds that. They're usually pretty docile but they're great flyers.. the hairs on them disrupt the air currents and make them look like they're parachuting slowly down when they decide to jump off a wall. They're content to eat other spiders and don't bother humans too often.

I think I will take Doc's house off my list of places to visit.

Most of them are outside, Vashti

(And don't get me started about the Bull Ants)

It's the ones you keep INSIDE that scare me!

What about rats? How big are they? (Those are my number one fear.)

Never seen a wild rat or mouse. Just the occasional rustling in the bushes.

You're making out that my home is akin to Sanford and Son?

nah... it's just that I am picturing you as a wild bushman like Crocodile Dundee.

God that guy is annoying.

Yeah maybe, but at least he knows how to deal with spiders.
