    I loved that book.

I just finished Hunger Games and Catching Fire, which were wonderful. Kinda The Long Walk with more political/social themes.

I am reading the first book I have been able to pick up since nursing school... it's called "Precious", and it is depressing, and it is semi-annoying to read because it is written ebonics-style.

I kind of miss being interested in reading for pleasure. Nursing school ruined me with books.

I've been reading Bentley Little's "The Store". It's a horror novel about a haunted Walmart. (LOL)

He's really not that terrific of a writer, but his novels are alot of fun if you like cheesy horror ala Stephen King.

I am listening to an audiobook called "The Help". It's pretty good. Set in 1960's Mississippi, and it's about the black maids that worked for white people.

Got bored of the Slash autobiography when he started becoming a 'new man', started on an AC/DC one, but kind of lost interest, so I'm back to reading: Mindhunter: Inside the FBI elite serial crime unit. it's written by John Douglas (& Mark Olshanker) who is a pioneer of FBI profiling. the whole serial killer thing interests me a lot, so it's right up my alley. I'll report back with my thoughts.

"The Rolling Stones Interviews" by Jann Wenner and Joe Levy is my at work book. Got it at Borders on their clearance rack for $4.99. I love that place.

Reading "Pretty in Plaid" by Jen Lancaster at home.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

    Towelhead.

I hate the title, but am enjoying the book. In fact, I read half of it while sitting in the bookstore before I even bought it.

My mom just started reading The Help. Seems to be enjoying it since she's recommended it to EVERYONE.

I've picked up a couple of Bill Bryson's books in the last few weeks - I LOVE his writing. I read A Walk in the Woods (about the Appalachian Trail) and I'm almost finished with Notes from a Small Island (traveling Britain). Definitely enjoyable if you like that type of humor.

Aside from that, a few books on math - one is called The Art of Mathematics and one is a light-hearted but very long history of important mathematicians called The Men of Mathematics.

I do not think I will ever be able to read an actual book again. Fiction or nonfiction

I can't even remember the last time I read for pleasure. I tried this winter break, but got bored after about 20 minutes
