What I find interesting is how Eco gets all het up about this, says that making a distinction b/t the 'two Irelands' is wrong, but is perfectly fine with insulting an entire people (those of N. Ireland - who aren't Irish by her standard). I mean, I am certain they would be offended to hear her say they are NOT Irish. LOL. Eco is a hypocrite AND stupid. I am Canadian. We are English, French, Irish, Spanish, Arab, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Russian, Indian.... etc.

I think what Eco is trying to do is despicable, actually. She would actually tell someone from N.Ireland they weren't Irish (unless they were actively bombing the London tube, probably).

Its like someone who grew up in West Germany telling someone from East Germany they weren't German (before the wall came down).
