I don't do *5 directly because calculating *10 is quicker, you just have to put a 0 in the end, and divisions by 2 are the simplest thing one can do.

And yes, if I knew you were on ADs in an interview, that would be a an issue. It might not be enough to reject you, but definitely a large mark against you. Med school is stressful enough without accepting someone who seems to have problems coping before they even start.

FWIW, I wouldn't hold it against you doing graduate research. But then again, few researchers are responsible for another person's life and most of them have weird psych quirks anyway. I think its par for the course for very smart people. I've actually considered trying drugs myself, but I'm afraid I'd get addicted.
