Maybe that's why they could fund this research because people donated money to see what would happen if we are attacked by zombies? People want to know cool shit like that.

Maybe if cure for cancer had something to do with zombie infestation leading to extinction of human race it would've been discovered way back.

well technically cancer is the mutation of the cell, so they should refer to it as the "x-men gene" research.

Like that Travolta movie a few years ago. The one where he got brain cancer which made him incredibly mentally evolved.

If you like stories like that, you should look up Orson Scott Card's "Ender's Game" series. Especially the ones with 'Shadow' in the title. There is a character who has something similar happen to him. The gene was called 'Anton's Key'.

Daffodil day should come with Wolverine collectibles! It would be so much more popular, I can see that.

    This is bullshit!!

The Libyan man jailed in Scotland for blowing up a US airliner over Lockerbie in 1988, has arrived back in Libya after being set free. An elaborately staged celebratory event is being prepared in Tripoli, our correspondent says.

    Bullshit indeed.

At least he's dying of cancer. His last moments will pass in great agony, I'm sure.

    Cheating punishment

Hey maybe this is that poster whose wife wanted him to abase himself? What's his name again?

Oh, my God, Indi. That was Dan something-or-other, right? Can't remember.

I think bringing back the public pillory would be a good thing. Someone does something wrong? Throw him in the stocks on a Saturday morning- let the town come on over and tell him what they think.

Dan RPG? I remember thinking his name stood for 'role playing game' or something?

Anyway, seems awful cruel somehow. This public humiliation thing will make her look just as bad as him & will expose all their dirt to the world. Weird how people don't care about that stuff.

Public pillory is different. That's something the town magistrate decided, not an individual. Oh well, those days, everyone knew everyone else's dirt anyway, LOL. Mbe that's the way to go.

Thanks Indi, though without realizing you posted this on an "Orange coloured sky day", a huge dust storm hit NSW today painting everything in orange and red, though it wasn't as pretty as one might think. Today my neighborhood looked something like this. Today will be remembered as the apocalypse by some.

Hey Mish, I heard. Got folks in Oz right now. Hoped the song might cheer up re: the astonishing weather you've been getting. Damn that photo looks like after St Helens blew. Lordie.
