Bah! You people and your absurdly expensive furniture. IKEA stuff looks good and it's so cheap that if it breaks you just go out and buy more. I'd much rather use my money for things other than furniture.

Hey, I own a few pieces of IKEA crap. But we have steadily replaced them over the years.

Anyway, I hate cod liver oil repeats.

Ah your ones of those. Bitching at all your coworkers won't get you far.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

I have a couple of IKEA chairs in my garage (which was decorated into a lounge for the local kids to hang out in), and those chairs are comfortable!

Hahahahahaha, our 'warm' isn't even as high as your 'cold'.

Right now it's 13, which is pretty warm for this season. It hits around -20 or -40 mid-winter. Not to mention the wind-chill factor.

Here, too. The sun is already down by 4:30pm.

I never understood that as basis for gloating.

It gets into the 100's down here plus humidity which adds another 10 degrees, not to mention the wonderful bugs that flourish during the summer. Oh, and crime rate peaks during the summer too.

Muaha? I get to live in more miserable conditions than some people?

For the two months of Summer we have (Imagine it being -22 one day, and the next day soaring all the way up to 80s) It does get in the 100s. There is no humidity whatsoever, which means that things catch fire easily. No humidity can be just as miserable as a ****load of humidity; take my word. I lived in Florida for a few years.

I will give you crimerate though. The last time death penalty was used here was in the 70s.

I would rather have no humidity over loads of humidity.

And it's unbearably hot for a good 4 months, then just hot for the other 2, then it's kinda nice for another 2, then batshit crazy bipolar for the winter months.

The nice does not make up for the shit, which is why we're looking to move.

New Orleans should be sunk into the sea.

Who builds a city with a river and ocean to the south, and lake to the north...in a bowl?

At least if they built it North of the lake they would only have to worry about flooding from the South, but this place is begging for another Katrina, and I don't want to be here when it comes.

The amount of deaths this year specifically among my generation is really depressing.

It's even more depressing reading it on Facebook and having to view the person's page and see all the R.I.P.'s or reading a stat saying they are gonna kill theirself and actually going through with it....it's scary.

The poangs chairs last forever. We kept ours too. Once we were out of the grubby hands stage, we upgraded to leather cushions.
