Going to my bf's tomorrow to make a batch of rhubarb slush complete with raspberry Stoli.

Saturday we're having people over. Praying the weather cooperates so we can have smores and a bonfire. The dang wind has been outta control and it looks rainy. We're making homemade pho. I've been on an old school movie kick lately, probably will rent "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" for the kiddos.

i just watched Big with Tom Hanks and gosh it was as awesome as when i was a kid.

What am I doing this weekend? I have to take a Praxis exam for teachers and I am really nervous about that. I haven't studied for it because I've been too busy with this damn German dissertation. And I have 3 finals to study for. And I have to update my electronic teacher's portfolio. **** my ****in' life. I think that after I take the Praxis exam I'm going out for a beer with a friend.

Today work til noon then shopping for pear pie fixings and laying in bed and being laaaazy, maybe read a book.

Saturday at noon the dude and I are heading to Alexandria to pick up my dining room table and pick out other furniture that my mom has been humping me about. I'm kind of dreading it. I can see her nagging me a lot. I don't want him to see that. I'm taking him to my favorite truck stop diner on the way back. They have fabulous breakfast foods.

Sunday hopefully have time to unpack, make the pie, all kinds of other fun things. Planting rhubarb, raspberries, and lilacs oh my!

Troubleshooting a fuel flow issue in my lawnmower, continuing to assemble the new kitchen cabinets and attempting to cut a horseshoe shaped notch in the last tile for the guest bath (gonna be damn near impossible to make this cut correctly). Then a trip to Lowes to buy a metric assload of wood to finish extending the fence next weekend.

I made that cut.... well, actually, my horseshoe was narrow, so I just made the two easy cuts, and broke off the third side. It took a couple of attempts to get it right.
