OMG Coco! They are going to say that the 'bombing' of the moon destroyed the evidence of the moon landing!

Christians to repopulate the earth

Looks like, the real battle between Atheists and theists will be fought in the bedroom
Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
God or the Devil

it's a good article, but the problem with lumping all the issues and sceptics together when some of the so called conspiracies are not conspiracies anymore. in recent times lots of factual info has come out in a very blasé unaccountable way. to a point where obvious injustice is just ignored because people are so complacent.

There's no little irony in you asking Eco that definition, Coco. You made a funny! Nice one.

Mish - I have no problem converting other people's religious children into freethinkers.

Oh, Coco. You missed that one so it fell right into Eco's lap. Yikes.

Anyway, complacent just means being smug or self-satisfied. Usually about some situation and often implies that the situation might soon change (not in one's favour).

"Eco is feeling rather complacent about her recent LF sparring matches."

Something like that.

Thanks.

Oh and I did miss it because I didn't know the word means.
I get it now but still no comment. I'm not feeling it.

Speaking of Obama:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article6867711.ece

No offense to Pres Obama. I think he's got the stuff to be a memorable leader. But he does NOT deserve a Nobel prize at this point in his career. WTF has he done to deserve it?

I'm disappointed. The committee has been giving out so many shared prizes in recent years, its really watering down the point of the award--exceptional excellence spanning a lifetime of achievement. Usually, only one person of those shared awards was the true visionary.

^^ agree with you there....the timing more than anything gets me, he hasn't even been in office for a year and he is being praised already....for what exactly....

I'm behind Obama, but this seems a little premature to me...
