One of my uncles is doing fine after a horrible heart attack and triple bypass surgery. I enjoyed discovering this on Facebook - the only contact I have with that side of my family.

I haven't enjoyed much else though. Things have been pretty miserable around here. I'm really hoping to see Massive Attack live, though, if things don't work out here...

Statistically, the baby boomers are the most dangerous.

There has been a major influx of baby boomers buying up cruisers and Harley type bikes. They lack any kind of road experience and the U.S. tests are a joke. Age factors into it, you're not as quick and agile. Reaction times are slower and there is this "I am older than you so I know how this works better than you do" mentality.

There was a guy in my riding group who thought this and was rather vocal about it around the younger riders. I got sick of it and called him out on it. He proceeded to tell me I was young and naive (I use to be) and that he could easily out pace me and the other younger guys. He made it through two linked curves before he lost sight of me. People with this mentality are truely the most dangerous riders.

Most guys who can wheelie and hold it have at least average control with two wheels on the ground and some street smarts. Not that it excuses any of it, lol.

The tests are a joke. After completion of the MSF course I can legally hop on a Hyabusa and drive from Washington DC to Washington state if the mood catches me. Never mind that I've only ever ridden a 250cc (legally) around a parking lot, never on the road, and never above 20mph.

Yeah, moving sucks! Better job but I have to give up some nice buit-ins in my current place. That sucks bad. I wonder sometimes if I should stay just for the built-ins.... It would be easy to give up on life's aspirations. Almost too easy.

Enjoyed coming home from vacation... Too many lazy days in a row annoy me.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Took a girl I'm into ice-skating the other day, following a few weeks of exam-period coffee meet-ups. Turns out that she's got a boyfriend (facebook says single, bah), but he's leaving in six months and they seem to be in a bit of a tussle because of it.

Set up for us to be study partners for the next semester and will just keep on inviting her to events every now and then to keep her interested, so will see what happens.

Also resolved housing (moving to a place at a 10 mins walk from uni), finances, work and last exam should be a cakewalk. Things are getting better at last.

My bf is taking his girls and I go Goosberry Falls State Park near Duluth, MN this Friday. I am so excited. Its one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to.

We're also hitting up the Split Rock Lighthouse State Park.

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
