By your same logic, which I actually subscribe to, why should I give a shit about anyone else? We're all insignificant, myself included. However, I experience my emotions, my pleasures and my pains. I don't experience yours. Ergo, my existence is slightly more significant to me. Which is why I butt you out of the way so I can check out five minutes faster and get on with my life. You are, after all, less than nothing.

Because while what happens to me and you is not important, how we affect the world around us is...so how we treat each other is important.

If everybody would slow down and be a little nicer to each other people would be in a generally better mood.....and that would make the world a better place because it would be filled with less dicks I have to be around.

Annoyed me today and last night: the computer doing what it wanted to do, which was sit and pout, instead of doing anything I wanted it to do, lol

Me slowing down to allow someone slower than me would cost me 5 minutes. That would mean im most likely 5 minutes late for work or meeting and therefore my boss will be pissed with me which will in turn put me in a bad mood...the rest of the world may be in a better mood for my being nicer to the slow coach, but what good is that to me when im left ****ed off all day?..none, im selfish so will push in in anyway.

Don't go shopping 5 minutes before work....I'm talking in terms of generally speaking...not specific cases...certainly we are going to live our lives even if they aren't important to all of time and space.

But generally speaking most of what we run for in life is not important....all I'm saying is there is nothing wrong with slowing down for a few extra seconds to extend some manners to another person. So many people are so self-absorbed they forget about the people around them.

This even goes for the people who don't go the speed limit or faster...like today I was behind a guy who was on his cell going really slow and I couldn't get around him...I wanted to follow the guy and beat his ass and tell him..."get your head out of your own ass and realize there are other people in the world and put your damn cellphone down and pay attention to other drivers...your not that important."

you know what i really hate, is people not waiting for me in an elevator. you get into an elevator and see a girl running for it and still push that button and leave without. how freaking rude is that? I always wait for others.

Y'know, now that I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if more construction sites are more "polite" than many office buildings.

    Kind of ironic, really.

Then again, I've never worked in an office building, but I imagine it would be rather isolating.

What a piece of cunt my bf is working with . It's about the Poop girl (a pork that doesn't flush the toilet after doing shit at work). we went all today to a restaurant to celebrate our friend's bfs bday.
It happens that this friend, poop girl and my bf work together, that's why the poop girl was invited. this bitch didn't even give a ****ing 5euros for a small bday present for him and on the ****ing top of that, she left the restaurant just 2 mins before the bill arrived without paying!! what a cunt !! i don't understand how such trash don't feel even a slightest piece of shame . And it's not the first time when she left without paying. such people deserve to be mobbed at work.
you know what's the best? When the ash cloud happened last time, she was stuck in new york for extra 8 days , and who helped her?? Of course the friend who's bf had bday today. She asked her cousin to let her stay at his flat for 8 days, cause if not, she would have to pay for a hotel or sleep under the bridge. And this piece of shit doesn't even pay a ****ing 20 euros in a restaurant for her self and leaves secretly like a rat.
    I wazzzz here

Ahh, but you see I take it a step further. We are fetid refuse which clings to an insignificant speck cast adrift in the maelstrom of eternity. The world is no more significant than the parasites which swarm its rotting flesh, nor are the parasites as a whole any more important than the individual blood suckers. The whole thing could cease this very instant and it would be no loss.

I always do that. I hide in the corner and mash the close button repeatedly until the elevator doors slide shut right in the person's face.

I don't know about that but I will tell you there is a difference between people from the country and people from the city. In the city I think there are just so many people that the value of a person depreciates simply because of the number of them...sort of a supply and demand sort of thing...but when you live in a small town or rural area there are not as many people and you are more quick to be polite to those you see because you don't have to deal with so many people.

Thats not to say people in the city are rude...they are just overdosed with other people and don't realize it.

The ironic thing is I hate most people.

Exactly!!...and all the while so many people think they are important and what they do is important...on some level it is but in the grand scheme of things it is not....look up and see all the stars and realize they are all suns with planets around them and you will realize....you are not special.

And I'm okay with that. I think that thought bothers a lot of people because they constantly seek meaning and direction to life but once you realize you don't need it and it simply is because it is then you realize there is nothing to worry about ever.

Hey Gribble...you take a lot of philosophy?

I've taken a few courses and done quite a bit of reading. I love philosophy. It's too bad I can't make a living on it, or I'd pursue a doctorate.

I'm annoyed that my daughter and husband aren't getting along. Maybe he needs beating?
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

It's not that there's fewer people as much as it is, because there's fewer people, more of them will know when you were a jackass to somebody they know.

I had to teach my g/f not to making eye contact with people in public places. She's used to greeting people on the streets, or at least making eye contact with people she passes by, but in a city it can be seen as rude or an act of aggression.

Anyway, the statements you made are different from what I was referring to.

Big offices seem so cold to me. I think one being there really isn't as much of a "team" atmosphere. You go in your office, or cubicle, go to your desk and computer and perform your task, periodically passing the baton, or collecting work from other workers.

On a jobsite, you never know who you might need a favor from, so you make sure to hold the door for someone, or lend them a ladder, or tool.

Recent example, this door guy is always borrowing our ladders. Turns out he hasn't been returning them.

That's just common courtesy, and he's already been called out on it by my coworkers.

There's no chances for him now, especially since he's never done us any favors, he can bring his own damn ladder.

I've picked up my guitar for the first time in months and my untrained string finger got a blister.
