Noone is saying N/S Ireland. In that case, the N/S is replaced by Republic/Northern. Same thing, otherwise.

Ireland and UK as well. But North Ireland is like the region of UK. It`s not a country.It`s like You would say X is from New Mexico. Something like that You can`t compare Southern Ireland to Northern Ireland because they both represent two different things. One is a country and one is a region of another country That`s my point and I think it`s also Eco`s point

Actually it`s more black because of the black halfcircle around the white part So it`s not half black and half white - it`s like 51% black and 49% white
