Spent the day on the water. 100+ degrees out there, but you don't feel a thing when you're cruising along. At one point my dad was in the boat hauling my sister in an innertube while I zigged and zaggedon a waverunner. Absolute blast. Caked sun tan lotion on myself, too, so no burns. I'm starting to turn a rather nice olive, though.

I have all day off tomorrow. I don't have to be anywhere til 4. I also have the house to myself til Sunday night. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

I enjoyed drawing today. I haven't drawn anything in MONTHS. Man it felt so good to have a pencil in my hand, thinking away, making precise geometric calculations.
I am designing a spacecraft just for fun. I've been playing a realistic spaceflight simulator and it's great. I'm not satisfied with any of the models, though, so I've decided to come up with my own.
I'm trying to make it as realistic as possible. The real fun will come in when I get to the maths part of the programming.

There's nothing like combining all of my interests and focusing on them all at once. Ahhh... aerodynamics, aesthetic beauty, rocket science, all things Mars.
Sometimes I really wish I took up science when I entered Uni. I think if I went back, I would study geology. One of my greatest curiosities and interests in life is historical geology of Mars. I love everything about the planet - the low atmospheric pressure, the relatively low gravity, the iron-oxide surface unique to Mars, and ****, it has 2 moons. Two is better than one! But what really makes it interesting is the habitability and potential for colonization among its geological properties that make it so similar to Earth - this draws greater interest in the origin of life, the universe, and the spacetime continuum.

I went to school for geology and love it!! I used to work in the field but I teach now. My focus is more on nature/ecology. I am absolutely fascinated with the way Earth and nature works!

That's great. I'm a senior and I study German. I've been abroad 4 times already on my own budget. I'm getting my teacher certification for high school as well (was accepted into the teaching program)
I'll always have an interest in geology though. I took Earth Science courses for my general education requirements for my degree.

I enjoyed an amazing sale at Old Navy, found some awesome t-shirts for $5. They fit amazing and are super soft plus I can dress them up or down.

I got my car all cleaned out and actually found pics of my sister and I when we were kids and of my nephew's baby pictures.

No parents for a couple of days. Even though I can't do much, it will make my stress a little better.
