i have one really nice dress that I am taking, and I think I will get sick on the second night, and make other arrangements. Honestly, 8 days is a lot of time to spend with people when you like a fair amount of solitude.
You can just skip the formal nights. They are optional after all. I skipped all the formal nights the last time I went on a cruise. Also I think that it is funny that in places like Las Vegas and cruise ships that, even though people are all around, that you can feel alone and anonymous. I generally hate people, but I really enjoy cruises. No one bothers me, tries to talk to me, and I enjoy the "sights" while at the pools.

I am annoyed today because of all the f*cking mornings in the world for my wife to decide to be amorous I had to piss like a racehorse. Did I turn it down? F*ck no, because it NEVER happens. I did it and busted a sorry, weak ass nut because I had to piss so bad. F*CK!!!!

I'm annoyed because the water company put in a new kind of meter that doesn't shut off with a curb key and now I have to schedule a maintenance person to come out and shut my water off. Is scheduling this easy? Convenient? No way. The number listed on their website doesn't actually go to the person responsible for this, whoever they are. I just need it off for half an hour so I can but some tile backerboard in behind the valves for the sink. Does that sound like too much to ask?

Not really annoyed but very hurt, like a kick to the stomach, rip out my heart through my butt, hurt. My former best friend (and her husband) are now on Facebook. I keep seeing in the newsfeed how she's now friends with about 12 of my friends. Whats even better is seeing her comment on one of our mutual friends status updates with invites to her bbq this weekend. Wow. I have to confess that I'm actually hurt that she hasn't requested me as a friend. Sucker.

Here's the link for anyone who didnt' read my initial post.

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

I know some things are possible to block, FB changes so often that I never know whats going on with how to do stuff half the time anymore. I just don't want to have to block all our mutal friends status updates and never know whats going on with them anymore.

Its SO weird too because I just told my bf about her and her husband literally last week and then here they are. Joy.

I remember your thread, QC. She'll come around in a few years when she realizes husband she kowtows to today is the asshole she'll despise tomorrow. She'll be contacting you then, you'll see. You care waaaay too much about them.

I hate facebook. You should just preemptively block her eventual request.

Been up since 6am yesterday. Surprisingly alert, all things considered. Motorcycle class was fun despite the first day being little more than a lecture. I met an incredible woman in class. She's a 23 year old med student. Indian possibly. Dark and lovely, with absolutely beautiful, intelligent eyes and the most welcoming smile. How cool is that? Female med student getting a motorcycle license. The annoying bit? Like most med students she has no time for anything outside her studies. This course is the greatest dalliance she can afford. A shame. We get along so well. We're even born on the same day. And hell, I'd totally marry a beautiful doctor and become a stay-at-home dad.

That happened to me once or twice, I'd just forget about their existence for awhile until they come and find me. Works every time for some reason. Whenever being nice is not working completely ignoring the other person like they are irrelevant for some reason attracts them to you and they go out of their way to please you. I don't know why that is, but it works.

I am with you on this. I do have some pride (or stubborness) left in this matter. No way in hell would I ever invite her or him as friends. It hurts but I'm not that desperate for friendship. I do realize even if she did invite me it would be so phoney and fake anyway, that why even bother? Just sucks its all being flaunted in my face.

I see my boyfriend about one to two times a week right now due to finances being tight and the distance between our homes. I'm all right with this really 'cause I spend a lot of time working, but I'm never sure when I'll get free time to see him since my schedule changes a lot. However, I invited him out to Taco Tuesday with me, my new friend/coworker, and her boyfriend. Instead he'd rather watch game 3 of the NBA Finals. I told him that since the Lakers are playing every bar is likely to have the game on. He responded that he'd rather watch it at home where there are "less distractions" and it's "more comfortable". Grrr.
