(holding loud speaking) GUYS, WE HAVE TO STOP TELLING HIM TO ASK QUESTIONS. HE'S TAKING THE IDEA LITERALLY . (lowering loud speaker)
When people say "ask questions" what they really mean is a) don't talk about yourself constantly, b) get to know how she thinks and c) help her feel comfortable with you. Let's dump the phrase "ask questions" and replace it with "get to know each other"
Getting to know each other is NOT about giving her free therapy sessions! Heck, if all a girl does is tell you about her dramas when you're getting to know her, you need to dump her. While it's great to support a friend or partner in need, if someone only ever uses us for support, they need to be cut loose.
During the time when you're getting to know her, it's also OK to talk about yourself. It's about the art of conversation. It's about finding things in common, it's about exploring each other's ideas and beliefs, it's about making each other laugh.
You've said previously that girls are very simple to market to. So put your money where your mouth is - get out there and market yourself.
