Ellynn's situation is different, though, Sami. She's actually taking care of her mom, while your mom is still taking care of you.

Are your parents planning to keep you at home until they find a husband for you, or what?

Sami, first of all, are you in college? If so, are you almost done with it? I would suggest staying at home until you finish if this is the case. Then plan on getting a place of your own etc.


If your not in college, what kind of job do you have? Does it pay well enough to think about moving out on your own? Or maybe you could move out with some friends of yours and share the rent? (I would NOT suggest moving in with your bf btw.)

Tell us exactly why you are still at home and maybe we can give you some more suggestions.

If you want freedom, it sounds to me like the only way you will ever get it is by moving out. Your parents have rules and as long as you live with them, your gonna have to respect them. If your on your own, at least you have the argument that your supporting yourself. Also, Im sure they wouldn't have a 24/7 watch on your house to find out exactly what you are doing. At least I hope not.

I think it's better, it's helping me so far... Right now I could only afford around $50 per night if I were to move out. Getting there.
