If you're too scared to talk to her face-to-face, then how do you plan on this working? It's already a strange situation, honestly. To her, you're some older guy that randomly hit her up on Facebook and asked her out, then wouldn't talk to her when she happened to run into you. It's not a great starting point. And about the age thing, I don't know exactly how old you guys are, but if you're four years older than a high schooler, she's probably too young for you. Chalk it up as a loss and move on.
