I dont think you should feel like 2nd choice. She got to him first, and he didnt just ditch her for you, so what. I would have done the same as him. Let's say he ditched her for you, found out you suck, and then he had burned a bride with the other girl that might have been the Golden Gate?? I say go out with him...well aside from the whole, don't date co-workers thing. That's just difficult both with good and bad.

You know your situation best. Remember all we can go by is what you tell us.

soul-on-fire-----Okay, I'll just answer your title.

Yes you have the chance, because he wants to hang out with you again.

    Take the chance.

Yes, I do know my situation best. Even though, I think I know how he really feels it doesn't change the fact that I'm scared of this. I am torn, I really really want to, but I just can't bring myself to except. I don't want to be the fool and get burned twice. If I knew the outcome, I'd jump right in. The uncertainty is killing me. I don't think that I should do this...maybe I'll just wait to see just how serious he is. See if he persues me further.

It doesn't hurt to just date a little... I mean the only way to find out is by taking that chance, no?

I dunno, if you're that hung up over it then maybe you shouldn't. All depends on how you feel about it.

There's no such thing as certainty in relationships. For the love of God, just go for it. You've got nothing to lose!

We went out last night to this really nice eatery and had drinks and desert. He was holding my hand and being really sweet. He said that he wants to see me casually. No relationship. What is the deal?

Well, he either just wants to fool around, or take things slow. Who knows?

Maybe he's using the slow casual approach because he doesn't want to scare YOU away. Subtle hints that you are interested in being closer could help loosen that up. Maybe tell him how great you feel when you guys spend time together. stuff like that to boost his confidence.
