CGI was good, story was shit as usual.

Maybe someday they'll learn to use CGI to enhance the story, not replacing it or diverting attention.

it's not just the Mayans that predict this date for things to change, the American Indian tribes, the aboriginals and most natives around the world have this date as a end of one period into the next and it will apparently be a rough ride for people who are one dimensional (or something along those lines). aparently national geographic channel also predict the end for that date too coz the internet predictor won't go past that date *twilight zone music*

haven't seen the film, it's not in the cinema here yet. 3hrs sounds like too much sitting in the one spot.

If I want to watch crazy, stupid people running around I can do it for free at the mall on any Saturday. Especially this time of year, I don't even need to go in. I can just watch from the parking lot.

I'm not going to watch it. I've already seen Armageddon, Deep impact, the day after tomorrow and The Core, so I pretty much know how it will go beginning to the end.

It looks like Hollywood is continuing humanities fine tradition of setting up wrong dates for end of the world of the last 2,000 years making the Heaven's gate cult in comparison look partially sane.

It looks so incredibly stupid. Its what happens when you combine an IQ of 50 and a special effects budget of $200M.

i actually quiet enjoyed the movie last night. almost every movie has bad written scenes/dialog. so did this one. but overall it was pretty overwhelming. i would highly recommend it.
