So I spoke to her and her to gf's on Messenger at school (during class). At least one of her friends knew about my feelings because she said that I and the girl should be together. They were all joking about it, including the girl I like. Is this something bad?

Man, you worry way too much! Lets break it down into an easy analysis:

1) You don't ask her out because you think she is out of your league
-- Success = 0%
-- Failure = 100% (you are rejecting yourself!)

2) You don't ask her on a date for a month.
-- success = 25%
-- failure = 75% (she loses romantic interest or finds someone else)

3) You ask her out TOMORROW.
-- success = 75%
-- failure = 25% (she may not think of you "that way")

Everything seems to be going fine between you, and the flirting should keep you out of the "friends zone" but you have to stop planning and just do something if you want to move it along.

Also, never bring up that other girl again ... that was plain stupid.

Other than that, just be yourself! Forget all the scheming, forget all the game playing, forget all the angles. A girl is not someone to be "won" by being smooth, but she can be "lost" by trying too hard.
