What are the right reasons to want a SO?

To complete yourself, or any variation of feeling "whole"/happy.

For money.

For a trophy to keep on your arm.

I'm sure there are tons, but they basically seem to have to do with filling holes in your personality, shallowness, and neediness.

I think that's what I wanted to know... I guess I asked the wrong question

I've read a few times people here saying to others that "those aren't the right reasons to have a SO", the question just struck me.

What are the right reasons?

I thought the answer is pretty self explanatory. The right reasons are to be with a compatible partner, that you like and trust and have a good time with and who recipricates everything back, the two of you enjoy each other's company.
