I think what they mean though is not some health problems as people are saying on here. What they mean is the risk of natural death causes (like getting hit by a bus) is reduced. I agree because if a hail of gun fire came my way a wife can be a usefull body shield.

Physiology, of course. I will probably go study at the book store because they have a coffee shop. Ugh... I can't wait for this class to be over. It is a nightmare.

i have 2 papers to turn in this semester. one on women and welfare and one on low educational attainment. the first one isn't that big of a deal, research other people's research and write about it. the other one i have to get the data myself and analyze it. doesn't sound too bad, right?

Actually, that sounds like fun! Given time, that might be something I would research out of personal interest. Still, it can't be fun when you aren't feeling well.

It seems little different than what occurs in any pack animal species, as homo sapien is. Isolate an individual animal from its pack, it will deteriorate.

Yes, but who said anything about seperating an individual from "it's pack"? Most people would still have a relationship with friends and family with feelings that easily rival those of a romantic relationship in strength.

haha - I doubt it, since I consider women's magazines to be the enemy of women. As I remember it, I think it had to do with women nagging men about seeking medical attention for health issues that men might wish to overlook, and also that the generation of elderly men were used to having women cook nutritious meals for them. Now that men are showing up in the kitchen more frequently, I don't know that this would be an issue so much with a younger generation.

Love relationships usually carry with them a greater sense of urgency than familial or peer relationships do. That creates a greater sense of isolation should they fail. It's not who is or isn't in your picture that matters. It's how you feel about them which does. Not "belonging" in THAT love pact you've selected for youself has very similar effects as not belonging to the community you've chosen to be a part of. Just more intensely felt.

Don't worry Frasbee. You do your own (healthy) cooking, and I will be happy to nag you about seeing the doctor now and then if you'd like. That way, you can remain free as a bird and avoid having to deal with women's hormonal imbalances.

That's a good point Whayward though I wouldn't suggest that applies to all individuals.

But not before.

And I haven't been sick in a long time.

Nor do I intend to be in the near future.
