Jeblina I agree with you, that's really not a long distance R/S, that distance can work.

One girl (Xmas girl) I'm (sorta) seeing had to move about two hours away to tend to her elderly Father but comes into town every week, and this new girl I just met also lives about two hours away (opposite direction) and comes down here (beach area) almost every weekend and stays with her girlfriend.

I wouldn't worry about that part of the relationship, it's not all that far. Hey, it could even work in your favor with regards to your original question...Just tell your Mom that it got really late and he was too tired for the long drive.

no...I CAN'T say "get a new boyfriend"...sure, there's the possibility that it MIGHT end in tears (ummm hello....that's the risk of being in relationships)....and dating sites are NOT very promising...

Well damn...you must be one of the lucky ones then.....

The only types that I've met off of dating sites have "stalker" as their middle name

I'm quite happy with this guy...comfortable with him because I've known him for a LONG time....things are great...I just want to spend more time with him.

I bet it is; what a shame.

Whatever man...I know that everybody has a ****ered up opinion of what this guy is like...but I can't/won't judge him....I myself am an ex-addict...and I was fortunate enough to have people around me who gave me second chances...and now, today, I am a completely different person (yet, of course, still the same)....why can't that be true for him too?

I DO realize that being with him is a gamble...I'm not completely blind like I was last time. I told him when he asked me for this second chance that, since he came to me, he has the burden of proving that he's "worthy" of my time. So far, he's done EVERYTHING to make me believe that he's genuine...I haven't seen one thing that would cause me to have mistrust for him.
