Well if your young, I can see why your mom is concerned. I mean there is alot going on with child pornography and all that nowdays. Also, strange men prey on young girls. Its a good thing shes keeping an eye on you.

If I had a 13 yr old daughter, I would want to have the computer in a centrally located area of the house so I knew what she was up to on the net. I mean theres nothing wrong with looking at pics of a celeb you like, but sometimes they tend to make up nude pics of celebrities and post them, even though they aren't real. Come on, we all know that sometimes when you google something totally innocent, something usually porn related pops up.

We didn't get the net at our house until I was 15. But that was mainly because the net wasn't nearly as popular in homes until then. My mom would also keep close tabs on us and what we (my sister and I) were doing. Its a mom thing. You may think your not doing anything wrong, but you would be surprised with how many younger people attract the wrong kind of attention. Shes looking out for you, so don't be so upset. As you get older you will earn your privacy, but until then, get used to not having any.

Yes I live at my parents' house but they should respect my privacy...and I have to live at my parents' house, seeing as to how I'm a minor. Sure, 14 year olds can be emancipated, but I'm under 14.




And minors can't move out unless they're legally emancipated, and my parents wouldn't let me do that.

Also, the courts wouldn't emancipate you unless you could support yourself financially, and your parents don't have to approve it. HOwever, if they are fit parents, the judge wouldn't go for it. The world does not need a 13 year trying to be responsible for themselves.
