Ultra orthodox Jews don't date (until they are looking for a spouse, anyway). I am Reform, which according to the Orthodox, isn't Jewish at all. We are supposedly evil and are ruining Judaism with our liberal ways. Christians (depending on the denomination) also date unless perhaps they are living in a culture where it is frowned upon.

I hope it all works out for you and that you will let us know what you decide to do.
