Women tend to look at and judge themselves on other women's bodies while men seem to avoid looking at other men.

While women notice other women in terms of "she's better/not better looking than me" men look at it in terms of "I wonder if I can outdo/beat him" (at least that's what some men have told me).

I used to have body issues not long ago. I was ashamed of my hips and it seemed to me I was not proportioned well; my legs were too thin, my hips too big my bust too small etc etc etc. It was never really about my WEIGHT, but rather about my shape.

I'm happy now though (I still have this urge to pick up a grinder and use it on my hips!) but I've learnt to utilise what I have.

However, my life has changed drastically to the point where I have a lot of male attention and have been told to start modelling from here and there and I'm afraid my head will out-grow my hips! I'm not a vain little bitch, but I'm sared of being one...

I think you're right on, miSS. have you ever calculated your hip/waist ratio, though? you could turn out to be perfect ^.^

also, though this is increasingly changing, men are not faced with millions of handsome, super-in-shape guys on posters, ads, billboards, magazines, tv shows, etc, and are not told they need to moisturise and cover up this and that- though that industry is rapidly growing.
Homer is fat, Marge is thin. Look at the cast of friends- the guys were just regular, not super buff or anything, and the girls were slim. I forget the figures on this, but basically more female people on tv are 'in shape' - sometimes to an unhealthy degree - than males.
It's no wonder women are becoming self-conscious.

Actually there is a hip to waist ratio that guys will find more attractive.

Tiay where have you been all this time? Females have been hit with such images for years.
