I love fashion. If I watch shows with "models" doing a poor job, I really hate that. I like when the models grace the runway with confidence in what looks like a frikken garbage bag. It's not what you wear it's how you wear it. If I could start my own clothing line in my life, I would feel so accomplished. This has been my dream since I was like 5 and I hope to accomplish it one day.
You should stick with it Ladie. You never know what you might be able to do with it someday. You might be able to have your own store with your designs in them someday. Luckily there is alot of room out there for independent talent. Maybe you can start taking some courses: patternmaking, sewing (I know you hate it hehe, but it seems to be a big part of learning the craft).

Do you ever watch Project Runway?

I love Project Runway. My favorite season was the season with Santino lol. I also enjoy ANTM, but havent watched that in a while. I also enjoy watching What not to wear(I've learned alot from that show). I'd love to attend a Fashion Week in New York at least once in my life. Its a dream I hope to fulfill soon. Fashion is so interesting to me, I'd love to learn more about it.

I knew you were a sweetie. Am bumping this post. Grk needs to see this & take you up on it, IMO. You seem very down to earth.

Unless he actually marries this new gal. Will see.

Haha, thanks Indie. I think Grk might be too young for me personally. As are most of these hot young males crawling all over these forums.

However, I'll happily set him up with a gorgeous younger lady if it doesn't work out with his current bikini model.

Project Runway with Santino was hilarious esp when he was doing those Tim Gunn impressions.."Where's Andre? Make it work!"

    I heart Tim Gunn.

God, its nice to have more posters who understand and answer at more than one level. No wonder Vash & Miso really like you. Yes, I thought he might be youngish. Still, he could do w/your good opinion, I bet. He seems lacking a wise-woman figure in his life.

Anyway, he'll hate this direction, so I'll leave off.

Starbuck, don't be silly. How could any guy pay attention to a bunch of little strumpets with you as escort? Seriously.

Lol yea that was pretty much my fave. episode. It got funnier when Tim confronted him and Santino did the impressions for him. I loved the fact that Tim did not get mad about it and actually laughed.

    I <3 Tim more!!! lol

I've never really understood the thing about brands. Sure, it might be a status thing, but anyone with a thick wallet is able to walk into a store and pick out a good outfit while its more of a challenge to scour the factory outlets and do the same for a tenth of the cost. Either way I'd rather have tons of semi-quality stuff to mix and match than just a few high-quality stuff that I wear all the time.

I relate it to a recent lecture we had about a painting that people used to think was a self portrait by Van Gogh. When that was the case it was worth hundreds of millions, and when they discovered it wasn't it was worth a few thousand dollars. And all that time the painting remained just the same.

They both seem like constructs for people to waste away their money for irrational reasons.

To me, brand name clothing is crazy. It doesnt matter what brand Im wearing, just as long as I can cover my ass. Brand name companies make the same thing as what I wear.....except they are 50 dollars more than what I pay and have a certain name on it...I love clothes, but not to the extent of splurging my check on one outfit for what I could have spent on 10 outfits, groceries, and then some if I just shopped at Rainbow or K-mart/Walmart.

Haha! Well.., if things don't work out.., you like her so much I think I might have to set the two of you up first..

Despite the boyish cries of my so-called older & wiser friends.. (Ben: it's too early to call it game over dude/ Tony: don't think this sh*t.., just have fun and see where it takes you).. I'm actually really really happy I was fortunate enough to come across someone like her in my lifetime.. Beyond just her being out of this world.., I love her mother too.., such an amazing woman..

For the first time in my life.., I was anxious about going out on a date.., was nervous during the date.., and in a most disgusting state of childlike bliss afterwards..

Thank you starbuck.., although I'd be much more interested in her more mature art director friend.. But if she's really your friend.., I wonder why you'd want to do something so cruel to her.., like "happily" set her up with me.. She owes you money doesn't she? I see how you operate starbuck.., wicked..

Why don't you try and convince DM to come down one weekend.., and we'll all go out together one night.. I have a pretty strong feeling your gorgeous lady friend might get to like DM so much.., she'll thank you for the introduction..
