Not with a girlfriend, but I broke off contact with a girl I liked by leaving a note under a piano cover and telling her to go play piano , just before boarding my flight.
Wouldn't have been shitty per say if it wasn't for that on the train when heading towards the airport she got a phone call about that one of her friends had committed suicide by jumping off a rooftop, so she was crying already. Bad timing.

I called him two days before Christmas and told him I made out with some other guy (which was true), and that I wanted to date that guy. Apparently he failed all of his classes the following semester in uni because he was so depressed. We ended up getting back together after a year.

My breakup was ****ing terrible, parents even got involved. I'm embarrassed just thinking about all the stupid shit I did and said. I will say it was a good learning experience on what exactly not to do when you find out she cheated on you.
