Yeahh actually I would.
American's and others just say 'ohh the gun is for protection incase someone trys to harm me', when in actual fact chances of that happening are quite slim, it's just say so thing. Holy shit if that was the case then everyone in the world should have guns right? Pfft what a world that would be. Guns just give people the opportunity to be voilent and commit crimes.
Pain is just weakness leaving the body...
If someone is going to cause harm...they probably already have a gun or can get one. So what's the big deal about someone owning a gun that isn't going to cause havok and use it for their own personal protection? I mean it's clearly a technological advantage over a knife. Being able to kill someone from a hundred feet away, or from a couple feet?
It's about as dumb as the alcohol prohibition, the people that really want it...will get it. Same with drugs. And the same will happen with guns.
Break into my house buddy with nothin' but your fists, we'll see who leaves alive.
Break into my house and enjoy a shower of metal balls breaking your skin.
The law in Australia is such that if you attack another person who enters your house (legally or illegally) it is the same as if you attack them on the street. So technically if you shoot another person who broke into your home to steal your stuff you're going to jail for it. Human life from legal perspective here is seen more important than material posessions.
Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
God or the Devil

I have a semi automatic M14 sitting in the closet with a mag of hollow point rounds sitting right next to it.
The safety is off, so all I have to do is pop the mag and let the bolt snap shut and it's ready to fire.
Handgun or shotgun would be better, but those hollow points will f*ck up whatever they hit.

What makes you certain that a thief will endanger your life or life of your family? A thief enters quietely, takes something of value and leaves. See in Australia if you blow their head off, you'll most likely get a life in prison.
I'm interested if that would make someone think twice about owing a gun. This simple change of the law.

How do I know they don't have a gun on them? How do I know they are sane? It's either them or me, I'm not taking chances. Human rights for someone that can potentially threaten my family? That's bs...you stay out of someone else's house you don't have to worry about getting a bullet in you.
If I got a chance to shoot someone that isn't supposed to be in my house I'm going to take it. I'm not going to wait to see if they have a gun and potentially shoot me.
