Hmpf. I don't know about US, but based on your talks, here in Estonia, everybody seems to be the opposite. Metalheads are a bit messy looking, but really cool guys, mostly smart, have red stuff, know how to argue. But lots of beer is a lifestyle, yes.
But club goers are more easy going, lots of drinking, and drugs, chemical shit. Mostly there is only one reason why guys go to clubs, that is to get with women. This should tell you something... Rockers go to a concert to enjoy the band and drink beer.

A girl in high school seemed to fall in love with me just because I played guitar. Actually, it was a few girls.

The way Vashti mentioned vanity made me laugh. A lot of 'rockers'... well, other stereotypes too, are really narcissistic, and really do have a lot of vanity. It's just the way young people usually are, haha.

Don't be afraid to date them, Lostalien, just realize that there is more to a person than the instruments they play and the music they listen to. In other words, avoid the complete tools. Now get out there have fun and enjoy yourself.
