Iron, the trainer at the gym I belonged to held the same belief you do about squats. Want to work your quads? Do some squats. Want a nice trim butt? Squats again. Want shapley calves? You got it! Squats! But after a while they begin to hurt my knees, as do lunges. Am I going to far with them?
Killer what are these butt-scoots you speak of? How are they performed? Congrats of your results too! That's great!
BTW Squirt. Thanks for that lovely, vivid, image of the dog scraping poo from his butt. How delightful! I did 100 leg lifts Tuesday night and last night I got to 50 and was nearly dying. God DAMN that hurts! lol This is a great thread!!!

Killerbabe, that isn't a lot of workout is it?! I don't think it is a lot in my opinion! And I'm bein' serious! I don't have a good figure! When I'm at school I just eat. A lot. Too much in fact. So little exercise too. It just sucks. So I get fatter and fatter. I can't fit into most of my jeans I only bought the holiday before too! Arghhhh! It's well annoyin'! So now I just cut down on food and swim 'n' cardio workouts! I haven't seen much change yet. Probably because I keep on goin' on and off. I can't seem to do it like 3 times a week or sumin'! It's too hard!! Wahhh!!!

WAHOO With one week into weight training and listening to Irons advice and education this girl has a lost A pound, down to 129! YAHOO k I havent seen that weight in like oh shit dont recall its been that many years...BUT holy smokes Iron is SO right, I feel great, and so want to do more! 2 more weeks of this routine and he'll switch me to something else!

I dont hurt quite as a bad in the legs, but the towards the end in the arms its a killer to pull those last reps up! But I cant thank Iron enough for helping me! This is awesome! What a great feeling to be in pain!

it's always hard to go to the gym in the beginning because you feel like everyone is watching you. after you get used to it, you tend to lift harder in front of an audience. raverboy

I love the gym! Love, love, LOVE it!!!!! The atmosphere SCREAMS 'exercise your butt off!!' Squirt, you are doing GREAT!! Keep it up, you won't regret it. Along with weight maintenance and building muscle mass, weight lifting also helps us retain bone density. Very important to women later in life.
This week with the protein shake smoothies and the working out, I lost 5 pounds. WAHOO!!!!! And the wedding is tonight! What a great day this is going to be.
