First off let me tell you how much I admire someone with strong family values. It's something that is fading in our societies and I'm pleased you recognise this bond as important.
Especially and also probably due to the fact your parents must be very loving.

Yes, strong family ties are disappearing rapidly. I'm fortunate.
This has to be a factor of strength in your life. So I'd encourage you to have them around in your life (of course you also need your independence and to build your own home but this is another issue..)
REPLY: They have played a big role in my success through their love and support. I'd only pursue marriage and family IF that same type of sincere and loving support existed within the family unit.
Like any big decision in life I think you should take things gradually.
You go first. You settle down a bit with your job and the new place. Then your parents visit you and see how they like it. Do not under estimate the power of having your roots in one place. They could realise that they're not happy in the new place and be miserable.
Personally rushed decisions never worked out for me whether it was when buying a car or in relationships!
