It's his image. He's been paid a lot by sponsors to promote their product as a clean cut athlete and he seemed to be a decent guy who had a good solid life and he is a role model. Before all of this I rather liked him myself mainly because he seemed better and athletes aren't supposed to be in the same low league as Hollywood people.
