What's the point? So you can be kewl and different just exactly like the other guys with pierced dicks?

One of my high school friends got his dick pierced. Unfortunately, he showed it to me one night in a dance club. It looked a little messed up and he said that he had recently had it re-pierced because he had ripped the bar out having sex with his girlfriend.

Not really...I just think it looks awesome...I don't know...have you ever just seen something and wanted it? I know it sounds weird...like have you ever just had to have a pair of shoes or a shirt or something?...Its the same kinda feeling if that makes sense...trust me I'm not doing it to show it to other dudes.
I admit that I've thought about getting a tattoo in the past, so I can sort of understand. But a tattoo can be something very personal and even unique, while a piercing is going to be more generic. There are health risks associated with both tattoos and piercing, and I'm sure you want to be careful before putting one of your favorite body parts in danger.

Well actually if you looked at the pix on the link from my original post and read my description I thought I explained that I'm not getting anything pierced that is dangerous...I mean I'm not having any nerves or blood vessels punctured...its strictly going through the layer of skin on the top...the only real concern is infection and thats a risk with any piercing.
Plus I would have to disagree and say that it would be very personal...I haven't seen a lot of guys with the piercing I have considered...I mean maybe I'm wrong...the one I've always seen is the Prince Albert...and it isn't as permanent as a tat...I mean I can take it out and the hole will probably close up...there is a risk that it won't...but when its gone its gone or you have to get it re-pierced.
The holes DON'T close up, once you have worn jewelry for any length of time. Then you will just have a couple of holes that will be a perfect breeding ground for bacteria.
Don't do it.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
You and all your male counterparts.
Since this thread was brought back up...just to let everybody know this evening I will be getting it done...several of my female friends told me to go for it and I know them better than I know the ladies on this forum....so I do appreciate the input and if tomorrow I seem a little more grumpy its because I have to bars through my penis.
If your female friends tell you to jump off a cliff, please post here first.

It isn't like peer pressure?...it was my idea...I just asked them what they thought about it and they said go for it...none of them had anything bad to say about it and 3 of them had been with guys who had piercings and said they had never experienced any pain.
I've got more ex piercings than ex girlfriends. You're right, Vashti... the holes never close up.
Piercings look cool for a time... then the realization that you can't walk through an airport metal detector without a frisk down hits you.
Age and wisdom comes...
The piercings come out, the holes stay, and little miniature rank cheese whiz factories remain till your dying days. There is also nickel allergies, nerve damage, and scarring to contend with.
Tattoos are better... if you're of a sane mind when you pick your ink.. but think of just how many barbed wire and small of back celtic designs are being lasered off each year by mindless go with the flow types. Tatts also change with the aging of skin. Better to wait until mid life before you get them. First tatts don't age well.
My one tat is up on my arm where even my t-shirt sleeve with cover and it says "Apollo"...as weird as it sounds it was the name of a lion (I work with exotic animals) I loved and we had to put him down 3 years ago when he developed non-responsive lymphoma...I loved that cat I had bottle raised him and he only made it to 6 years old.
So I think if a tat means something to you then its worth getting but yea just tats for no reason or meaning are stupid.
