It sounds to me like he's trying to get you to chase after him. You're not in the friend zone if he said that hes attracted to a girl alot like you. He might have been trying to compliment you but it came out all wierd and awkward.Figure out who you like first off though. Sounds like you're in highschool so dont worry about it you got time.
