You are'nt feeling it for him and because he agrees and says he isn't feeling it for you, you are now grasping at straws to sooth your bruised ego by thinking that he was just kidding, that he really likes you but is just saying that to save face. Total ego in play here. Have you done all the breaking up before this?

Like everyone else I have been dumped a few times. But I have done most of the breaking up. I guess I have over analysed the situation.

Every time I have broken up guys will either flip out or beg for another chance. This was different and threw me off guard.
