Well actually I have impacted wisdom teeth, and so they are going to have to go in and cut them out from inside my gums. I've called around inquiring about my teeth at quite a few places today and it sounds like they are going to have to get an oral surgeon to take them out. Which I am NOT going to be awake for....I hope. lol. I can't stand the sound of cutting and prying especially when I know that it's coming from someone cutting my teeth out. It's just disgusting.

You should have brushed them proplerly, and you wouldnt have this problem.
Now they are fckd , you have no choice. Stop being a baby, its nothing. 20 minutes of mild discomfort or a life of pain.
Some people have real problems. Crying about having a tooth out is gay. I pulled 2 out with some string and a door handle, with only whisky as an anesthetic.
My gums bled for 3 weeks and i still managed to stay in the top 5.

Wisdom teeth problems have nothing to do with brushing. Our 3rd molars don't fit in most ppls mouths.

But Bo, you shouldn't delay. Impacted teeth will make your other teeth crooked, they are only held in place w/ligaments and pressure from the wisdoms can cause things like ugly overlaps.

Yeah, I'm looking to get them removed in the next couple weeks I hope. I noticed when i stretch my head or my jaw, there's some pressure and my throats as well. Is that normal?

My wisdom teeth came through at 13. The dentist at the time said my mouth would get crowded so took out 4 premolars (left and right top and bottom). Now years later, the bottom wisdom tooth has got infected and the new dentist has said the wisdom tooth needs to be extracted. Also the top tooth needs to be taken out otherwise it 'grows down into the space'.

I just need to save up for the costs.

When I had the teeth out at 13 - I remember the "Eee-Eee-Eee" sound of the pliars going left to right as they pulled the teeth out ... and the blood ... but otherwise it was okay ... and my teeth were perfectly aligned.

Now I'm thinking I need all my teeth. I asked if I could have a dental implant and they said wisdom teeth don't do anything, so there's no point. They said root canal is not the answer for the infection.

Infected wisdom teeth are quite common apparently ...

Impacted wisdom teeth get infected often, and or they can push your other teeth forward and make your teeth crooked. But which ones did you have removed? Wisdom teeth are the last ones to come in and often they stay underneath the gumline which is how mine are. You said that you had all four wisdom teeth removed? Shouldn't that mean you have none left? Some people actually have more than four wisdom teeth but not often. The first and second pair of molars aren't considered wisdom teeth.

i don't know if i'm going to be able to have them taken out at this point. Going to an oral surgeon is going to cost WAY too much money.

At 13 I had 4 premolars removed, so the wisdom teeth could come through, which they did. Now years and years later, a new dentist wants to take out the bottom (and top) wisdom tooth out because I got an infection. This was after I got bad toothache for the first time in my life.

It will cost a lot, but I'm saving up. I can't have that pain again. I was waking up in the night with severe toothache.

(I've got perfectly straight aligned teeth, but just weary about taking teeth out as I don't like messing about with my body how I was born).

oh, oops. i thought wisdom teeth were the pointy ones that dracula has that help you tear in to a steak. My mistake.
I retract my dental hygiene slur. but my being a baby slur still stands.
As a side note, does anyone know what the pointy ones are called because i think i have to phone my dentist again.

Just so you know: pointy ones = canines, tiny square ones at the front = incisors, big square ones along the side = premolars, massive square ones at the back = molars.

The premolars and molars are for vegetarians, their job is to grind down foodstuffs, the incisors and canines purpose is to bite off things like meat ie for carnivores.

My dentist told me wisdom teeth have no function, if they did, I would probably keep them in.

I could tell you MY horror story... but since you're not going to a military dentist, it should help alleviate your fears.

Seriously, there's nothing to be scared of. They probably won't even have to cut into your gums. Mine were out in 20 minutes, and that includes having the lever the bottom two impacted ones upright first. Didn't even hurt that much after - I saved my Tylenol III (codeine!) for recreational use instead of wasting it on mere pain.
