We'll probably end up turning off the movie because I'll be too busy between your legs. Either that or you can watch the movie while I do that to you. Either one is fine. *giggles*

I like movies and I try not to go "Oh that was so not how it was in the book or in real life!" Just enjoy the movie. I mean, I could go off on so many movies if I wanted to but I love movies and just like to take them for what they are. They are there to entertain. I let them entertain me and leave it at that. Books are a completely different media. There are things you can put in books that is just impossible to capture in a two and a half hour film. You just do what you can to get the main idea of the story to the people and work with what you are given. They are actors, not gods.

I don't care when they change things because they couldn't do it, or because it was too time consuming, etc... but when they change small details that shouldn't be changed is what gets me.
Like Briseis and how she was made to be Hector's cousin.
Or how they made Achilles into this big hero when in reality he was a glory loving spoiled brat.
Or even how they changed Achilles' time of death. He was dead before the horse.

i can't help but notice how hollywood adds and subtracts and distorts the original story. i try to enjoy things for what they are, and sometimes i like when they add things. i liked how they added all that love in the lord of the rings. i noticed the differences but i didn't really mind them (until the third movie that is, by then it was getting pretty silly). but some of them are just so off and dramatized and sensationalized. it's hard to believe the story.

I understand the aggrivation but it's just a movie. The thing with Achilles shouldn't bother you all that much. Do you think that Brad Pitt would have played the part if he had to play the role like that as well as lose out on a good 1/3 of the film? I think not. They had to keep Achilles around until the very end because of who played him. It's all a part of the process.
