i swear you are so snobby donut boy. that's okay though, i don't mind.

anyway, i hate this emo stuff too. i just don't get it. the thing that bugs me the most is that they try to say they came from punk music. have you really ever heard punk music. i'm talking real punk rock. it wasn't about whining about how some girl dumped him or how their alcoholic dad left them, it was about awareness in what was going on in the world. you never heard such whining from the ramones, the clash, bad religion, the dead kennedy's, and so on... and yes maybe these bands are old school but that is punk. i hate when people call avril levign punk, gawd that shit just drives me freakin' crazy!

Exactly, who calls Avril punk? I ****in' hate that girl.

Most of the music I listen has nothing to do with girls dumping em or their crappy dad running off and **** all like that. Maybe one or two but come on, they gotta do at least one sometimes.

What about the actual music, though? It's so... fabricated. Most of it just feels soulless.

You should definitely check out Bright Eyes if you haven't before, Skye. You'll be amazed at how beautiful music can be, when it means something to the person creating it.

These bands create their own music which means something to them as well. The music I create means something to me. Everyone's music means something to themselves.

I actually do listen to just about everything but I'm just more on the side of emo // rock music.
