everyone but my youngest sister is over the legal age... to tell you honestly, i really don't understand why my mom never left him. maybe because she felt sorry for him..maybe because deep inside she still loved him.. another reason she gave us was she didn't want us kids to grow up without a father. It's all more complicated than it sounds.. if it were me i would have had my dad put away a long time ago. he's changing little by little.. he's not abusive anymore, but everything he ever did feels like it was just yesterday. for those who can relate to me, you know what i'm talking about.

that's what i've been hearing lately as an excuse not to leave someone... they don't want to have their children grow up in a home with only a single parent. however is having the child wintess years of fighting only to later end in divorce any worse?? why bother beating around the bush when you can end it early and save a lot of misery.
