I hate that this tends to be true. This happened at Barnes&Noble all the time, especially at my last store. I bent over backwards for them for over a year until I decided that if they didn't give a damn about taking care of their employees, then I don't give a damn about being their coffee and book slave. I saw some of the nastiest, rudest workers get promoted over other more diligent ones simply because they had a good personal rep with higher management.

I was called out of work by my sons nursery, they told me he was turning a shade of blue and had gone floppy, i raced there (luckily only 10 minutes away) by the time I had got there his colour had returned and he was behaving relatively normally. What annoyed me was that they didnt call the emergency services, yet they called me with urgency. It turns out that the staff each thought the other had called. I made sure to tell them it wasnt good enough or acceptable and they were lucky they are not being reported.

My bf humping me to set a moving date.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

Do they pay well? I'm actually applying to B&N. You can PM me if you don't want to discus on here. I have been curious about that place as an employer.

I finished a series of books I was re-reading a couple of hours ago, and now I feel empty and want more... Why do I have to get addicted to everything?

Wow, what a lame excuse for making a serious mistake

    I'd report them anyway

I know exactly what you mean. I love finding a book/movie/game I can really get into but then when I've finished it I just have that feeling of wanting more of it....and it is never the same the second time through.

Realizing that the formulas I have come to know and love like SUMIFS and COUNTIFS don't work in Excel 2003. This is the most compelling reason I have found to get a new computer.

Becareful with what you get in the new PC lovesjoy, Excel 2007 is in many ways different to 2003

    I read Catch 22, 3 times.

I only made more sense every time I re-read it.

My work laptop and all the school laptops I worked on last year had Excel 2007 and I've used it every day for months now - I only tried to use Excel 2003 on my computer for some home expenses and realized how much different it is. I am SO used to 2007 that I really can't revert back, even for tiny projects, so I need to upgrade. Freakin' pivot tables are IMPOSSIBLE in 2003, filtering is waaaaaaay less flexible... I can't deal with it. Haha.
