    Hey man, as long as I get tops it's all good.

    Hell of a night. Watched Machete matinee. Friggin' sweet. Ridiculously tasteless, over the top violent--but completely aware of itself as such. Loved it. Totally lived up to the trailer in Planet Terror. After that I picked up girl numero uno for our first date. We went to the same theater my friends and I vacated and watched the American, which was surprisingly good. Ignore the trailer. Looks like an insipid action flick. It's not. It's artistic and thoughtful. Similar to one of my favorites,[URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Samoura%C3%AF"] Le Samouraļ[/URL]i.


    After that we went to this joint called DuClaw's, a microbrewery. Had us samples of all their beer. That was fun. Food kind of sucked, though. Tomorrow it's round two with the next girl. Ugh. So tired. I need sleep. You know what sucks about first dates? You never get laid on them, and if you do you gotta rush out and get tested in the morning because god knows what the hell's swarming in that cooch.




    In other news, I also stopped by a hat store and tried on fedoras. I don't look like that. When I doff a fedora my head magically balloons to three times its typical abnormally huge size to something freakishly gargantuan. So no fedora for me. Alas. Turning in early. Night, folks. Wish me luck tomorrow.

    My boyfriend's departure date will likely be sooner than the 15th. Part of their road trip changed, so they'll be headed up to NorCal, then gone. I've been really great about soaking up every last bit while he's still here, but a somber feeling is beginning to settle at the bottom of my stomach. I really am going to miss him. The way his eyes scrunch up when he smiles really wide especially.

    His going away party is tomorrow night. I'm gonna get drunk and enjoy myself.
