If you care, just make more 'good stuff' available. And don't be afraid to point out crap when you see it. But that's about all you can do. Besides, a lot of folk enjoy crap (a la George Carlin), or they wouldn't be bothered. All you can do is try to provide a more attractive alternative.

Just three advices about it:

1. stay away from extremes, the best way to achieve things is by asking, not by protesting.
2. there will be a lot of people asking you to join their organization and help. Forget those as well.
3. never give up. Change arrives sooner or later.
