Meh, sinuses. I'm self-medicating for those right now. Got a friend who suffers from problems with sinuses and I am totally feeling his pain, hoo boy.

I like eating wasabi (well, the fake stuff you get here) by the spoonfull when I have a cold. Helps.

I've had a cold the last couple of days and I swear it cleared my sinuses. Is there any scientific truth to that? Or was it just a coincidence?

Chilli makes a huge difference and I do believe there is evidence to back it up. I remember having a blazing flu and eating a really hot chilli pizza. I was fine the next day.

I've never been a big lunch or dinner type of cook. I love making breakfasts and desserts.

Couple years ago I made a 4 layer strawberry cake from scratch with homemade strawberry icing for our yearly Christmas open-house. As for breakfast, I make a mean set of buttermilk waffles (from scratch of course).

There's supposed to be some research that says that cultures in warm humid environments (e.g. South China, South America, India) that use hot chili end up with less intestinal parasites than those that don't.

Oh, my god! I'm in heaven. I made the best dinner ever. I cooked a two inch thick pork chop in the same pan as some sliced potatoes and onions. The juices from the pork mixed with the potatoes and they taste amazing. Plus I seasoned it all with a little rosemary and some hot sauce for the potatoes. Just enough to get the flavor without burning. For a side I roasted a red pepper on an open flame, then peeled the skin and cut it in strips. I cooked that in a pan along with some okra, sliced chilis, shallots and garlic. This, my friends, is a meal fit for a man. I don't care if it knocks a few months off my lifespan. It's worth it.

I don't eat pork, but the rest of that sounds amazing, gribble. Yummy.

To be honest it was a throw together type of thing. Cooking kangaroo means it has to be medium rare inside to keep tender. I cooked it with a tiny bit of sesame oil with chilli. I sliced it up and placed it on top of a salad of rocket, baby spinach, mango, avocado, pine nuts, tomato, fresh grated parmesan with dressing.

I thought kangaroo was just a name, not like actual kangaroo
